Pedestrian Signal Repair
When the weather was still a bit warmer in mid-September, Frazier Signal Technologies was called to Wiscasset to assess and stabilize a pedestrian crossing at the signalized intersection of Main Street and Water Street.
The initial report indicated that a mast arm upright had been struck and that wiring associated with the pedestrian equipment was exposed.
Thankfully, when we arrived on site, we were relieved to find that the damage was less severe than initially reported. The shroud on the upright was cracked, and the housing for the pedestrian control module was broken but posed no immediate danger. We were able to stabilize the remaining damage and secure the crossing while replacement parts were ordered for a successful pedestrian signal repair.
On a lighter note, a special thanks to the folks at Red’s for letting us park on the sidewalk and treating us to some soda and whoopie pies! We always appreciate the kindness and hospitality of the communities we serve.
