This past week Frazier Signals wrapped up an important traffic safety improvement project in Madison Maine.
In April, Maine DOT asked our team at Frazier Signal Technologies to design and install a flashing beacon at the intersection of Ward Hill, Old County Rd, and Main St. This area had seen 16 crashes in the last three years, with 75% resulting in injuries, so improving traffic safety was a top priority.
Here’s what we did:
• Installed flashing red lights on Ward Hill and Old County Rd to ensure drivers stop before entering Main St.
• Installed flashing yellow lights along Main St to alert 50 mph traffic to potential entering vehicles.
