Traffic Detection System

Frazier Signal Technologies finished updating the traffic detection system at the intersection of State and Washington Street in Brewer Maine. This photo is what the new Miovision camera sees when processing data to coordinate traffic through the intersection.

The yellow boxes are the vehicle detection areas and the blue boxes are vehicle objects not pertinent to traffic coordination. The system is completely programable via a web based application which makes trouble shooting, design alterations and addressing public concerns much quicker and easier to implement.

Digger Derrick

Frazier Signal Technologies deployed the new Digger Derrick, setting a pole in Chapin Park, Bangor. Following a recent storm, the previous pole and park lights had fallen. Now that we’ve installed the new pole, the City of Bangor will take care of installing new lights for the park. We are always thankful for the opportunity to partner with the City of Bangor!

Old Town Traffic Mast Arm Poles

Last Friday, the Old Town traffic mast arm poles arrived at our shop from Oklahoma, and tuesday marked the beginning of Frazier Signal Technologies setting them in place!

In the downtown area, a total of seven mast arm poles are being installed on foundations. The one near the beloved local restaurant Kanu stands at a height of 30 feet.

We had most of the Frazier Signal Technologies team on-site to partake in the installation.

Special thanks to Art House for the well-timed coffee!

Preparing Old Town’s traffic mast arms

Frazier Signal Technologies has devoted a few days to preparing Old Town’s traffic mast arms. Our tasks involved mounting and wiring traffic signals and signage onto these mast arms for efficient installation.

The recently installed 30ft high mast poles require seven mast arms, three measuring 35ft in length! Handling the movement of these 35ft arms in and out of the shop has been quite an experience.

Special thanks to Jeff Lapointe and Jon Shaw for their expertise in the in-house setup!

Out with the old and in with the new – all in one night!

Out with the old and in with the new! Our team worked through the night on this double signal head replacement. This was a high-traffic area and the job needed to be done in the night hours while traffic was light. We were able to make it happen by keeping the intersection live to help maintain traffic operations while working.
